ฝ่ายเภสัชและผลิตภัณฑ์ธรรมชาติ สถาบันวิจัยวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีแห่งประเทศไทย (วว.) ได้ดำเนินโครงการพัฒนาผลิตภัณฑ์เภสัชโภชนาภัณฑ์ ป้องกันแผลในทางเดินอาหารจากสมุนไพรรวมโดยนำกล้วยและขิงมาผลิตเป็นผลิตภัณฑ์เม็ดเสริมอาหารมิวซาสิด (Musacid) ซึ่งผลิตภัณฑ์นี้มีความปลอดภัยต่อ ตับ ไต และระบบเลือดของผู้บริโภค เป็นทางเลือกสำหรับผู้ที่นิยมอาหารเสริมจากพืชสมุนไพรเพื่อป้องกันหรือรักษาโรคกระเพาะนอกเหนือจากการใช้ยาได้ ทั้งนี้ วว. พร้อมถ่ายทอดเทคโนโลยีการผลิตมิวซาสิดสู่เชิงพาณิชย์ เพื่อลดการนำเข้าผลิตภัณฑ์เภสัชโภชนาภัณฑ์ และสร้างความเข้มแข็งให้เครษฐกิจของประเทศ

Pharmaceutical and Natural Products Department, Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR) has developing project of Nutraceuticals products, prevention of gastrointestinal ulcers from herbal by bring bananas and ginger to produce as Musacid food supplements which this product has secure to liver, kidney and blood system of consumer as an alternative choice for people who want medicinal plant to protect or treatment of gastritis in addition to using medication. TISTR ready to transfer of Mucalid production technology to commercial, reduce imports of Nutraceuticals products and strengthening the economy of the country.
