ศูนย์วิทยาศาสตร์การแพทย์ที่9 นครราชสีมาได้ตรวจสอบตัวอย่างผลิตภัณฑ์เสริมอาหารลดน้ำหนัก จำนวน 2 ตัวอย่างที่ระบุชื่อ Sliming diet raspberry plus+ และ PK nature sliming diet bery plus ซึ่งมีผู้ป่วยที่ได้รับผลข้างเคียงจากผลิตภัณฑ์2ชนิดนี้ มีอาการนอนไม่หลับ หูแว่ว เห็นภาพหลอน ผลการตรวจสอบพบว่า บรรจุภัณฑ์ของตัวอย่างไม่พบเลขทะเบียน อ.ย. และพบสารไซบูทรามีนประเภทยาควบคุมพิเศษ ที่มีผลข้างเคียงทำให้ปากแห้ง คอแห้ง ปวดศรีษะ นอนไม่หลับ สภาพจิตใจเปลี่ยนแปลง กล้ามเนื้อหัวใจตายเฉียบพลัน อาจถึงชีวิตได้ หากใช้ยาชนิดนี้ต้องอยู่ในความดูแลของแพทย์อย่างใกล้ชิด ซึ่งหากได้รับในปริมาณสูง อาจเป็นสาเหตุที่ทำให้ผู้ป่วยมีอาการนอนไม่หลับ หูแว่ว และเห็นภาพหลอนได้.
