| Summary, etc. | Cassia has scientific name as Senna simea (Lam.) Irwin & Barneby is herb that can use all part of it, starting from flower can sure nerve, cure sleepless, make comfortable sleep, asthma treatment, blood disabled disease, dandruff treatment, expel parasite. Leaves can cure dysentery, diabetes, cure aphthous ulcer, bubo treatment, beriberi treatment, reduce high blood preassure, expel parasite, laxative, and so on. Parts that can use to make foods such as sheath to dip with chilli sauce, make meat curry by use young flower, top flower and baby leaves but must boil with water several time because cassia is bitter from Cassiami substance. From study of chemical in cassia found substance in chromone group with relax effect and sleepwell such as anhydrobarakol and anthraquinones group with laxative effect such as anthrone and dianthrone. Cassia is benefit plant but it has some report that found hepatitis condition cause by drug made from cassia too. Cassia have benefits and accuse too but ancient people can eat curry that unmolested by cassia because it boil several time before cook which can reduce the concentration of toxic substance but if use cassia to make pill by not boil will cause concentration of toxic will remain in high amount. So before consume cassia should study to prepare and should not continue consume for a long time which can lead to bad results than good results. |
